Saddleback Recap

SEER’s fifth race of the season took place on Labor Day weekend in Bedford, Kentucky. More than 120 hard-core participants showed up to give the ultimately cool and epic trails a try!

RACE RESULTS 2020

Lots of rain a few days before the event made the course pretty slick, especially in the first go-around. Each rider had 5 hours to complete a lap. This turned out to be an ambitious task for many participants.

Various demanding uphills, rocky creek beds and technical transit trails made it hard to return to the scoring tent within the time limit.

Check out SEER’s race director Gary Barr conquering one of his favorite sections.

Most riders were not disappointed that they were cut off at 5 hrs and could not go out for another lap. They were already spent at that time…

Current SEER’s points lead Nick Fahringer showed his skills by landing another spot at the top of the podium! Number 2 in SEER’s overall ranking is Quinn Wentzel, who finished 3rd overall at the SBX. Both finished three laps. A huge accomplishment since only one other rider was able to pull this off… Completing the SEER overall podium was Drew Dobbs, who finished 5th OA at the event. Nice job SEER series riders!

Thanks to Chris Collier and his SBX team for a great race! It would not be possible without the help of all the motivated volunteers dedicating their time and efforts!

Thank you and see you at our next round, the Nightmare on Hale Mountain Extreme on October 10th in Alabama. Registration is open!
